Risa Gettler’s “A Night at the Bleach” was far superior to any night at the beach. One might say it was a truly enlightening experience. In fact, by putting bleach to paper, adding a few strokes of ground chalk, mere mortals could create art out of humble materials.
Thanks to Risa for contributing her time and multiple talents to showing us “the way”. As a thank you to her, any attempts at achieving divine enlightening (if students are so led to share their work with her), can be sent to her at: (my suggestion, not hers, by the way) She can be reached at risa@risagettler.com.
One must admit her work is truly inspired and inspiring. For those who missed the demonstration, our sincere sympathies, but, take heart. The next venue for “Day at the Bleach”, will be on Saturday, October 28, 2007, at The Art Academy of San Diego http://www.artacademyofsandiego.com/
Also, Risa will be giving a workshop in March called “Groovy, Painted Papers” (Does she stay up at night dreaming up these catchy titles for her workshops?) Sign up while there is still time! She will not disappoint. Janice Shigehara
