Calling All Calligraphers!!!
As demonstrated by your favorite SDFC Members

Several enthusiastic members (left: Jan Lohner, Kathy Gilchrist, and Jean Igoe), provided instruction on making several clever greeting cards that were donated to the VA Hospital. Along with Karon Carroll, who was ill and couldn’t be here, they provided a wonderful assortment of colored papers, cardstock, yarn, and already punched out shapes. After the business meeting, during which we selected the logo for our calligraphy exhibit (congratulations Lisabet Wilson!) and were reminded of the need for board member volunteers for next year, we happily cut, glued, and lettered a bunch of cards. It was a fun evening of creativity.

Reminder: SDFC is collecting donations for the gift basket(s) to raffled off at the Opening Reception of the SDFC calligraphy exhibit in April. Calligraphy and related art items are encouraged, and gift cards of all types are welcome. A good start was made at the February meeting.
