I Never Met a Tool I Didn’t Like
Guest Lecturer: Yvonne Perez-Collins

Yvonne Perez-Collins, a highly accomplished fiber artist as well as an SDFC member, is in the process of melding her passions of textiles and letterforms. With slides and hands-on demos, she shared techniques and ideas for letterform expression in a different medium and demonstrated tools and supplies developed for the sewing and embroidery industry that have exciting applications in book arts, card making and fine arts.

This the free motion machine embroidered “S” that Yvonne created for the enthralled audience. Part of the process was securely attached the letter to a metal ring with free form embroidery.
