Everything You Wanted To Know About Artwork Photography
Guest Lecturer: Jim Respess
Our guest speaker was Jim Respess, whose business, Green Flash Photography, consists of both fine art photography and fine art reproduction (giclee) for artists and photographers. He presented suggestions and techniques to use for photographing artwork for a variety of purposes including web publishing, print publishing (magazines, etc.), and exhibition submission. He also explained the fine art reproduction method known as giclee and talked about printing alternatives for card making and other reproductions of our artwork, including how to prepare and what to expect from high-end reproduction facilities. We especially enjoyed seeing Jim’s own surreal photographic work.
