GOTTA HAVE Art Essentials

This was a rare chance to see Brenda Broadbent (owner of Paper & Ink Arts) and friends demonstrating tools and supplies from the Paper & Ink Arts catalog. And, oh joy, oh rapture, the items being demonstrated were available for purchase, along with many more books and products from the catalog. Turn out for this event was terrific. Many purchases were made and many questions were answered. Brenda showed us all that the voice on the phone is a personable as well as knowledgeable lady.

Another opportunity for “more fun” was had on Sunday, February 3, for those who took advantage of this additonal chance to talk with Brenda and purchase more from Paper & Ink Arts. Thanks go to Jacqueline Lacey for setting up the entire weekend.

Thanks to the hard work of Pat Sunda, our last few meetings have been graced with wonderful examples of calligraphy on the Show and Share Board. The above piece was admired, although the artist is unidentified.

Grace Lo, Susie Dunk, and Phyllis Miller participated in a wonderful Japanese brush painting class. They brought their paintings to share with us after their exhibit Balboa Park. (The photo of Phyllis’s piece is not yet available.) For more information about this class, CLICK HERE.
