Brush Lettering Techniques with Susy Ratto

Susy Ratto, artist and author of Color Layering System, was our guest lecturer at the November program. We learned how the Color Layering technique was developed and how it is used in a variety of lettering styles. Susy gave us ideas for brush lettering techniques using embossing markers, decorative chalks, textile and photo-tinting markers, resist, glitter gel pens, and more! Many supplies were for sale at the meeting.

Several members had items for sale at the popular Members’ Store: Among the selections were Jan Lohner’s gift bags with tags, Patsy Roeder’s dried flowers, and cards by Lisabet Wilson and by Carole Johnson.

On display were  examples of some members’ latest calligraphic efforts.
