The Art & Craft of Miniature Books
Guest Lecturers, Karen Nyman and Yvonne Perez-Collins

For the October SDFC meeting, the subject was miniature books, presented by our own Yvonne Perez Collins and Karen Nyman, both members of the Miniture Book Society, an international organization dedicated to the appreciation of miniature books.

Their preparation and teamwork provided us with a thorough and most informative   overview of the history  and selection of miniature books, no easy task.  The use of the marvleous new  projector let all of us see the books, and compare  sizes to the women's hands.  Some were so tiny.

The variety of books was unbelievable.   It seems like they had at least one of every genre.   Remember, a true miniature book is less than 3 inches in any dimension.

We were very lucky to have these two talented ladies among us.
