Using Frame Design to Enhance Your Art

What a treat! An in-depth look at frame design was presented by Deanne Row, CPF, owner of ProSource Picture Frame in Quail Valley, new member of SDFC. We learned how color, texture and line in the frame design can affect how the viewer experiences art when Deanne presented us with the challenges of how to mat and frame some sample pieces. She walked us through her thought processes, then showed us a better choice of mat and frame for Jeanen’s graphite drawing.

Risa Gettler was officially elected to the office of President that evening, and we were all treated to a display of envelopes that members had received during October, National Calligraphy Month. Thank you, Kathleen Morgan, for organizing the exchange.
